The “Relaxed Home School Planner” is a tool to help parents who use relaxed home school methods such as the Charlotte Mason approach and apply them to the very busy lives they lead. Homeschooling doesn’t have to be a chore for you or your kids. It can be fun, educational, and satisfying. With the right balance of planning and just letting life happen, you can have a lifestyle of learning that makes school days feel like a success.

How to Use This Planner

Using the Relaxed Home School Planner is very simple. It’s all about making homeschooling work for you.

We are based out of Georgia and therefore are only required to do a minimum of 180 days of schooling per year. Because of this, our planner begins in September and ends in May to give a total of 190 days in the school year. We also believe in allowing regular breaks from the structured day to allow kids time to just be kids. The following breaks are laid out in our planner.

Month Pages

Each month begins with an opening page. This page will list your monthly, weekly, and daily goals and your 4-week lesson structure.

There will also be a section to write in the title of the book you and your child are reading and a section for the verse you’ll be reciting for the month.

Daily Pages

The pages with days listed are formatted for freeform note-taking. You can use these sections to list activities you would want to do in a day, outings you’d want to take, or appointments that need to be attended. Let them work for you.

Progress Report

At the end of this planner, you’ll find a progress report form. This form will help you keep track of the progress of your student throughout the year.
